OUR TRIALS

NOSA is also a competition club, and stages several obedience trials a year.

    AIOC

NOSA is a member of the Association of Island Obedience Clubs (AIOC) — an alliance of 10 dog obedience clubs on Vancouver Island, from Victoria to Campbell River.

NOSA offers two AIOC trials annually, hosted in conjunction with the Greater Victoria Dog Obedience Training Club. For the past few years, Rally Obedience trials have been offered at this same event. These AIOC trials give competitors the opportunity to earn two passes in a single day in Obedience and in Rally-Obedience. Our next AIOC club trial date is:

    • October 22 at RCMP Barn, Saanich Fairgrounds: Hudson Memorial Trial 2 Obedience trials, 2 Rally trials.  Judges are Bill Blair, Terry Gains and Margaret Henigman.

A schedule of all AIOC events is posted on the AIOC website.

Of particular interest is the annual AIOC Challenge Cup event, held each year in Nanaimo.

    CKC Trial

NOSA is one of only three clubs in B.C.’s Capital Regional District sanctioned by the Canadian Kennel Club to host approved obedience trials. Over the years, NOSA members have placed in the Dogs in Canada national obedience top-5 breed rankings.

Our CKC trials are open to both purebred and mixed breed dogs.

Thank you to all of our volunteers and competitors who make our trials a success!

NOSA’s 2018 CKC trial will be held on April 21st and 22nd, at the RCMP Barn – Saanich Fairgrounds.  The judges for these trials are TBD

Premium and entry forms will be posted as soon as available.
